Given that the world is getting smaller and the globalisation of business is increasing, this means that new opportunities and challenges are emerging, and they can be of vital importance for the success of a company. This is why we naturally accompany our clients in every international market.
Vocatus is the exclusive partner institute for IRIS in Germany and being a member of the IRIS Council, the company is actively involved in the further development of international quality standards and innovative market research methods. IRIS (International Research Institutes http://www.irisnetwork.org) is the world's largest and best-known network of independent market research institutes, with 1,500 staff members in 35 countries and a total turnover of more than 170 million euros. Thereby, the network covers 82% of global economic power, and 61% of the world's population. What distinguishes every member of IRIS is many years' experience of international projects, the highest quality standards, top-class project execution, and practice-oriented analyses.
International Projects
Our clients are primarily European companies for whom we nonetheless often conduct global studies too.
It's therefore not surprising that just under 40 percent of our projects embrace more than one country,
and many of our reports are produced in English.
Using the same professionalism with which we conduct mystery benchmarks for call centres in 5 European countries, we also carry out online surveys in Japan, paper and pencil surveys in China, or in-depth interviews with executives in 8 languages and 37 different countries. Because we've been working a great deal over many years for companies that operate internationally, we're extremely familiar with these tasks.
Consistent Quality Standards
When it comes to international studies, the most important thing for you as a client is that you should be able to receive everything from one source
and rely upon our customarily high methodological standards. The results ultimately have to be robust so that they can provide you with a basis for
making decisions.
This is why the project design, project management, quality control, plus overall evaluation and creation of reports is carried out by Vocatus itself. Only in this way can we assure our high quality standards and guarantee the practical relevance of the results.
For the collection of quantitative primary data, we work exclusively with institutes that satisfy the quality standards set by ESOMAR, BVM, and ADM. In most countries we can turn to institutes with which we have already been collaborating for many years, and whose quality we can trust absolutely.
Furthermore, as a result of our partnership with one of the biggest strategy consultants worldwide, Booz & Company, we have access to a network of 115 offices in 31 countries across the globe. Should the scope of the project mean that we need an institute in a country in which we have hitherto not operated, our own on-the-spot project managers ensure that our quality standards are adhered to.
Comparable Results
The great skill with international studies consists in, on the one hand, providing comparable results across different countries, and on the other
hand, doing justice to intercultural differences.
It is generally not enough to take account of possible differences in the evaluation; instead, depending upon the set of questions and the countries involved, cultural differences must already be integrated into the project in its design and the gathering of data, so that one subsequently arrives at meaningful results.
International studies that include a multiplicity of countries also produce a very comprehensive dataset. Depending on the interests of the various people who are responsible in each country, this data can be interpreted in many different ways.
It's all the more important for you that we should edit the data clearly and comprehensibly, and suggest concrete measures that are specific to a given country. We typically create a general report, and at the same time detailed reports specific to various countries so as to do justice to cultural peculiarities.
