Vocatus shares the insights it has gained with a wider audience via presentations at specialist events as well as universities and other higher education institutions. If you've missed one of our presentations, you can watch a video of the entire presentation here.

  • Why are men so irrational?

Men’s behaviour isn’t always characterised by logical thinking: the purchase decision rarely seems to be dictated by reason, particularly if one is dealing with tools or electrical equipment. Moreover, your customers aren’t as rational as you’d often like to assume. This short video will demonstrate why this is so.

  • Why are women so irrational?

Do you sometimes wonder what’s going on in women’s heads? Whether one’s dealing with shoes, clothing or holidays, women frequently don’t behave in a particularly rational way. But why should this be so? And how can one become better at predicting these anomalies and exploiting them to promote a good customer relationship? You can find out more about this in our short video.

  • Matchmaker

Sometimes we want the cheapest possible product, while at other times we allow ourselves to be persuaded to part with slightly more cash than originally planned. Sometimes it's important to get good advice, yet at other times we automatically choose the product we've always bought. What this demonstrates is that consumers differ completely in the way that they make decisions and that they decide in different ways for each individual product. If companies understand what really makes their customers tick, they can use these insights to precisely tailor all their activities and achieve resounding success-starting with product development, moving on to marketing and sales, and finally encompassing customer care. By appealing to customers in such an accurate way, Matchmaker caters individually for consumers' purchase behaviour and makes a significant contribution to corporate success.

  • Vocatus International

All the IRIS members can boast many years' experience of international projects, the highest quality standards, first-class project execution, and practice-oriented analyses. Vocatus is IRIS's exclusive partner institute in Germany.

  • Market research in China

In China, a great deal of importance is attached to face-to-face interviews since important topics aren't usually discussed on the phone. However, a very dense and complex social network means that so-called 'intermediaries' are required to make contact. They are known to both the market researcher as well as the interviewee, and they then establish contact between the two parties. One also has to consider the political situation, which means that certain issues or topics are taboo.
