Vocatus Asia Forum
Especially for large corporations, international market research is an important tool if one wants, for example, to measure the success
of a new product or the satisfaction of customers and/or employees in different countries. However, international studies can often be
very superficial, and may consequently come up with only a limited number of suggested improvements or meaningful recommendations for
action.
In order to make effective use of the potential offered by an international market research study, one has to pay attention to
political and cultural differences. The early inclusion of market researchers from the respective countries is essential, because only
in this way is it possible to already take account of country-specific peculiarities when conceiving the study.
Within the context of the Vocatus Asia Forum in Munich you will have the opportunity to interact with leading market researchers from
Asia. Contributors from Japan, China, South Korea, India and other countries will discuss the challenges and stumbling blocks in their
respective markets and demonstrate how you can use market research to make your company more successful in Asia. In addition to the
special issues relating to data collection (ranging from the correct translation of questionnaires to country-specific index scores),
the spotlight will also be on cultural and political difficulties. All the contributors are members of
IriS (International Research InstituteS), the world’s biggest network of independent market
research institutes.
This cross-sectoral event is aimed at in-house market researchers and others who are responsible for marketing.
